ABOUT ME

​

My name is Maya Abrol and I am a student at Cornell University studying Fiber Science and Apparel Design (FSAD), pursuing minors in Human Development and Sustainable Business/Economic Policy. On Campus, I am employed as an archive assistant in the Cornell Fashion + Textile Collection. Additionally, I am a part of Rise Dance Group, the Cornell Fashion Collective (CFC), the Cornell Fashion Industry Network (CFIN), and the Society for Women in Business (SWIB) here on campus.

While I am still exploring potential professional pathways, I hope to pursue a career within the realm of sustainable fashion strategy, merchandising, or design. My personal design practice, as well as the FSAD coursework, have equipped me with relevant understanding of the retail supply chain operations as they relate to design, logistical planning, merchandising, and marketing.

I am very passionate about advocating for criminal justice and environmental reform, as well as equality for women! I hope to pursue social impact within my eventual career.

 

 In my free time, I like to dance, read poetry, and explore the beautiful upstate New York scenery with my friends!
